Should it be in a museum?
You will be playing the role of a curator of a major museum. Curator literally means manager or overseer. Traditionally, a curator is a content specialist responsible for an institution's collections. The object of a traditional curator's concern typically involves organizing exhibits, collections management or acquiring new work. Your job, along with your team, will be to decide if a chosen piece of art should be purchased by the museum that "employs" the team.
Starting questions:
1. What is a curator?
2. What is the difference between a current exhibit and a permanent collection?
3. In reference to a museum what does acquisition refer to?
4. Is there a difference between an established artist and an up and coming artist? If so, what is the difference?
5. If you wanted to donate a piece of art to a museum, would they automatically accept it? Why or why not?

Each group needs to present the information in a method that suits them. (iMovie, Keynote, Google, etc.)
A typical presentation is usually a keynote that looks similar to this.
Part 1-
Slide 1: Museum name and names of curators (your group)
introduction of group and stating purpose
Slide 2: Mission statement and museum history
Slides 3- 10: Permanent collections
each collection deserves it’s own slide with artwork, you may need more slides.
Slides 10-14: Recent past, current and upcoming exhibits
again, you may have more slide depending on your musuem
Part 2 -
Slide 14-15: About the artist
include images of artwork while you tell us about the artist
Slide 16-20: Artists artwork
talk about artists style and technique, etc,
Slide 21: Artwork in question
critique
Slide 22: Accept or not
rational based on information presented.
