ShadingWe will be turning the main light off and using spot lights to create extreme lighting, also known as chiaroscuro.
Choose your composition carefully. It is important to create a strong composition with a focal point and the full range of values. Begin with a very light gesture drawing using vine charcoal. Use the skills you developed with the value mapping project. Instead of tracing values, you will be drawing them and then filling in the value with compressed charcoal and vine charcoal. Finished drawing must include: * Full Value Range * Clear edges without creating lines * Accurate proportions * Strong composition |
