For the personal object contour drawing, each student is responsible for bringing his/her object into class. As with any contour drawing, line quality is the most important element. Lines should indicate degree of contrast and should be proportionally accurate. Composition will also be considered upon grading. A strong composition should utilize the rule of thirds, meaning the focal point is on the line dividing the paper plane into thirds. The above image was taken from http://photoinf.com. When grading, I am looking for: + Accurate proportions + Contour lines No Shading Smooth lines, thin representing little contrast and thick for strong contrast + Strong composition Use the rule of thirds + Repetition to create movement
